IPS is proud to sponsor Law/Gender/Body/Texts (LGBT), an online speaker series organized by Valeria Venditti (UCC).
Law/Gender/Body/Texts is an online discussion that draws together international scholars from different disciplines to explore the issue of gender and its transformations.
This series of workshops aims at envisioning alternative ways of conceiving gender by taking into account practices and material conditions that challenge the binary understanding of gender. Legal systems, bodies and texts will be considered as spaces within which gender emerges as a problematic, fuzzy, dynamic substance.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite and can be booked via the website: www.lawgenderbodytexts.com
Meanwhile, see the event’s Instagram page, @lawgenderbodytexts, to get some insights on this shimmering substance that gender is.
The online discussion is open to all scholars, students and people who are interested in the topic. It will run every Friday from 4pm to 5pm GMT.
